Kien Lao village, the predecessor of Xuan Tien and Xuan Kien communes (Xuan Truong) has a bronze casting profession with a history of over 200 years. This craft village was formed on a land with a thickness of more than 600 years. According to the elders, the village's bronze casting team is Mr. Le Van Nghiem, a famous Dong Son bronze drumsmith in Thanh Hoa province. Currently, descendants of the Le Van family living scatteredly in Xuan Kien and Xuan Tien communes have opened large-scale traditional bronze casting establishments, creating stable jobs for local workers.

In the mid-90s, the country entered a period of renewal, with a multi-sector economy, the creative labor of workers was liberated. From small-scale production, Kien Lao trade village has completely changed to mechanical production, creating machine products for agricultural production and construction, processing agricultural products, phosphorus products, boats, etc.… From a small production site, the value of products made is negligible. Hundreds of craft families have the opportunity to increase their income. The families of craft villages have set up companies and businesses, invested in equipment and machinery to expand production on a large scale.

Kien Lao was once a "good land where birds perched", where residents from Xuan Truong, Vu Ban, Y Yen districts and the whole province outside including Ninh Binh, Thai Binh, Thanh Hoa came to open land, do business and live. so they are very active, not afraid of difficulties and hardships, and bring with them the inherent energy and quintessence of the craft land. Thanks to that, in Kien Lao's homeland, many professions have been developed, each profession creates famous products everywhere.
